Announcement on recruiting visiting lecturers

1. Qualifications:
a) For Vietnamese visiting lecturers
- Undergraduate degree (Pass with Credit or higher) in one of the following majors:
English, English Language, English Language Teacher Education, English Literature, Applied
Linguistics, Theory & Methodology of English Language Teaching, British-American
Literature, or equivalent.
- A recognized international English language certificate (which must still be valid at the
time of signing contract) with the minimum requirement, including IELTS 7.0, TOEIC 850,
TOEFL ITP 627, TOEFL iBT 94, or equivalent (notarized copy).
Exemption of international English Language certificate applicable for:
- Lecturers with such required qualifications are fully trained in a foreign country being
English as the medium of instruction.
b) For expatriate visiting lecturers
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Must adhere to obtain a work permit mandated by a competent Vietnamese Agency,
except for authorized exemptions correspondent with legal policies.
- A recognized international qualification certificate in teaching English language, such as
TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, ESOL, ELT-IC, TKT, or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching English in universities are preferable.
2. Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive research and familiarity of the course outcomes, content, programs,
IELTS teaching methodologies, exam regulations, testing, evaluation, objectives and
requirements of the assigned teaching level/class, as well as the ability to evaluate
students’ knowledge and aptitude.
- Deliver lessons / provide materials that support efficiency, guide students in
understanding the purpose of learning English and practicing English skills towards
IELTS standards, and commit to teaching following the pace, content, and program
assigned by the Center.
- Take attendance regularly in each and every class, strictly comply with the University’s
regulations to secure students’ diligence.
- Organize students’ feedback/evaluation sessions, proactively update student profiles and
social matters in search for resolution/supplement/improvement of teaching methods and
content towards quality and efficiency.
- Participate in school-wide and student engagement activities as requested by
TDTU/CLC.
- Prepare materials for teaching.
- Actively engage in extracurricular activities / supplementary workshops according to
CLC’s plan.

3. Document Submission:
Applicants must submit the following documents
a) For Vietnamese lecturers
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) + Transcript of Record (notarized copy).
- A valid international English language certificate with the minimum requirement,
including IELTS 7.0, TOEIC 850, TOEFL ITP 627, TOEFL iBT 94, or equivalent
(notarized copy).
- Citizen Identification Card (notarized copy).
- Evidence of teaching experience (if applicable).
b) For expatriate lecturers
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) (notarized copy).
- A recognized international qualification certificate in teaching English language, such
as TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, ESOL, ELT-IC, TKT, or equivalent (notarized
copy).
- Passport (notarized copy).
- A valid Work Permit (notarized copy).
- A Temporary Residence Card (TRC, if applicable) or a Declaration of Temporary
Residence (notarized copy).
- Evidence of teaching experience (if applicable).
