On the afternoon of March 17, 2022, Creative Language Center of Ton Duc Thang University held a workshop with the theme “Suggested classroom activities for teaching Complete IELTS and Mindset for IELTS”.

The workshop was conducted online via the Zoom application for all lecturers at the Center, especially the new ones to get acquainted and better understand the IELTS curriculum, and provide them with many activities to do in the classroom besides the activities included in the Complete IELTS and Mindset for IELTS curriculum. In addition, it helps lecturers flexibly adjust the teaching content of the curriculum to suit actual needs. This is also an opportunity for lecturers to directly discuss issues related to the IELTS curriculum with Cambridge.

Opening speeches were delivered by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sy - Center Manager and Ms. Huynh Thi Nhan Hieu - Head Lecturer.

The keynote speaker of the workshop is Mr. Allen Davenport – Director of Professional Training and Development for ASEAN at Cambridge University Press and a member of the Cambridge University’s Global Journalism Training Council. He has been an English teacher for over 15 years in a variety of roles including teacher, learning program coordinator, and assessor for multiple assessment organisations. Furthermore, he is a regular speaker at conferences and has presented at seminars and talk shows on various topics across Asia, the UK and the Middle East. His current interests involve integrating creativity into the classroom and investigating how English language teaching is adjusted to suit the needs of learners in the 21st century.
