“Challenges and chances for the best practice of online teaching at the Creative Language Center” workshop

On the afternoon of January 19, 2022, Creative Language Center of Ton Duc Thang University held a workshop with the theme “Challenges and chances for the best practice of online teaching at the Creative Language Center”.

The conference which was conducted online via Google meet was for lecturers at the Center to introduce some main features of teaching in the current situation, to share the methodology to effective online teaching, as well as create a chance to meet and exchange the concerns related to teaching online; hence, suggest the solution for an ultimate teaching quality.

Opening speeches were delivered by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sy - Center Manager and Ms. Huynh Thi Nhan Hieu - Head Lecturer.

The seminar was hosted by 3 speakers, including Mr. Adam Briffett - A CELTA-trained University lecturer, academic manager, and ELT specialist currently based in HCMC, Vietnam. Mr. Robert Goldberg - Former Artistic Director of Integrated Creative Arts Network, Inc. in New York City, and MultiCultural Productions in Los Angeles, who has lots of works and achieves many awards in the art field; and Mr. Gabriel Ryan – who is a teacher with a Master's in Education specialized in teaching English to speakers of other languages, has experience in managing and developing programs as well as training and leading teachers. Also, he is the winner of a teacher of the year award in 2015.

The seminar was attended by more than 70 lecturers at the Center.
