4 undergraduate programs of Ton Duc Thang University meeting the accreditation standards of FIBAA

In November 2021, the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) officially recognized and granted the Quality Seal for 4 undergraduate programs of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The FIBAA accreditation is valid for a period of 5 years (2021-2026).

Programs accredited and certified by FIBAA include: Labor RelationsUrban and Regional PlanningSociologyVietnamese Studies - majoring in Tourism and Tourism Management.

To get this result, TDTU had registered for the accreditation according to FIBAA standards and written self-assessment reports for the abovementioned programs since the the academic year 2019-2020. In May 2021, FIBAA experts conducted online accreditation for 3 consecutive days. In the closing ceremony, the representative of FIBAA highlighted the advantages of the programs:

  • The curriculums ensure the principle of "student-centered", periodically update changes and requirements from stakeholders.
  • The quality of the academic staff is good, and the support staff are dynamic, ready to help students promptly and effectively.
  • Students are well equipped with soft skills, international-standard informatics and good English communication skills.
  • Teaching conditions are always guaranteed and well maintained with a variety of extracurricular activities, internships and observations at enterprises to help students gain confidence and quickly integrate into the environment and culture of the enterprises right after their graduation.
  • 100% of graduates have jobs immediately and meet the requirements of enterprises.

FIBAA is the quality assurance organization of the Swiss Government, a non-profit organization established to promote quality and transparency in education and science by awarding a “quality seal” to programs which are accredited and certified to meet its standards. The FIBAA set of standards is used for programs in the fields of Social and Humanities, Law, Management and Economics. The set of standards includes 5 main standards and 24 criteria including Objectives, Content and Program Structure, Quality of academic staff, Admission Regulations, Quality of Students, Facilities, Quality of Service, …

Due to the strictness and high requirements for the criteria, the FIBAA accreditation certification is one of the most prestigious and widely recognized in Europe and around the world. Graduates of the FIBAA-accredited programs will have favorable conditions for job applications and further study in Europe and many other countries.

Currently FIBAA is a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), which is listed in the official list of The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR); is a official member of the European University Association (EUA), the Network of Central and Eastern European Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) and The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
