The annual teachers’ meeting for Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2022-2023

On the afternoon of January 6, 2023, Creative Language Center (CLC) of Ton Duc Thang University organized the teachers’ meeting for the Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2022-2023. This is an activity to inform all lecturers of the previous semester’s results and share updated information regarding the new semester.

The attendees included Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sy - the Center’s manager, Mr. Bui Huu Toan - representative of the Department of Testing and Quality Assessment, Mr. Dinh Quang Thang - representative of the Department of Inspection, Legislation & Security, and more than 60 lecturers of the Center.

On behalf of the Department of Testing and Quality Assessment, Mr. Toan congratulated the Center's achievements. After class observation sessions, he noticed that the teaching quality of lecturers has increased day by day. He highly appreciated the role of the Center in the University’s development goals and strategies as well as expressed his hope that the Center will always maintain and promote its role in the future. He also added that the capabilities of students in using English are getting better and are highly appreciated by employers. Finally, he would like to wish all lecturers a new year full of health and happiness.

On behalf of the Department of Inspection, Legislation & Security, Mr. Thang congratulated the Center's achievements, reminded lecturers of TDTU’s regulations and pointed out some mistakes that lecturers and students often make. Finally, he wished all lecturers and staff a happy and prosperous new year.

Mr. Sy highly appreciated the role of the lecturers in putting efforts on the University’s development goals and strategies as well as expressed his hope that the lecturers will always maintain and promote their roles in the future. However, he also suggested that lecturers should improve teaching quality such as investing more in lectures, combining teaching methods, integrating skills and strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the University. Finally, he wished all lecturers success in the new semester and a new year full of health, peace and happiness.

During the meeting, the Center provided necessary updates for each program related to the curriculum, including materials, assessments, clubs, and reflective reading. Also, the Center introduced new lecturers to the whole attendees.

To create excitement and bring everyone together, all lecturers were involved in the Bingo game. This activity created opportunities for lecturers to get to know.

At the end of the program is the Q&A section in order to answer questions from lecturers.

With the support of the lecturers and staff, TDT CLC hopes to achieve its goals in the Academic Year 2022-2023.
