Leaders of Ton Duc Thang University meeting with new students
On the morning of October 9, 2021, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized an online meeting between the University's leaders and students of Intake 25. Participants included Assoc. Dr. Vuong Duc Hoang Quan - Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Vice Chairman of the Science and Training Council, leaders of 16 faculties and functional units, and more than 5,000 new students of intake 25.
Assoc. Dr. Vuong Duc Hoang Quan sent his congratulation and gratitude to families of the new students for having good children who are responsible for their families and society. He believes that the new students of Intake 25 will be good students so that all lecturers at TDTU wholeheartedly impart knowledge, share experiences, care and love towards them.
Delivering the speech on the occasion of the new academic year, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President welcomed all the new students to TDTU; advised and encouraged all the students to study sincerely during the ongoing difficult situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Tran Trong Dao assigned the university's lecturers and staff to regularly follow up and accompany new students in order to help them overcome the confusions during the first time, study with high efficiency in the first courses, which contributes to training students to become experts with high discipline, respect for the organization, responsible citizens, and comprehensive development. Giving cordial messages to the new students, he mentioned his gratitude, with the desire that each student must be proud of what they have and constantly develop themselves to be worthy of the expectations of their loved ones and families.
Duong Thi Thanh Ngan - a student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, representing the students of Intake 25, gave a thank-you speech, and expressed her strange and proud feeling when touching her dream of being admitted to TDTU. The desire to become a student of TDTU is the motivation for Ngan and many other students to study hard during high school period. Ngan thanked the teachers for their enthusiastic support, concern and assistance from admission, and welcoming new students to the first courses. Ngan reminded her peers that joining TDTU is just the beginning, they need to work together better to achieve their goals that they and their family expect.
At the end of the program, the Board of Presidents and leaders of the faculties and functional units of the university had an exchange on the issues that the new students were interested in. Through very practical questions, the new students of intake 25 demonstrated the common characteristics of generations of learners at TDTU: Discipline - Politeness - Professionalism - Creativity - Devotion. TDTU looks forward to welcoming students at the university’s campuses in the soonest time.
