Ton Duc Thang University celebrated Vietnamese Teachers' Day
On the morning of November 19, 2021, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) celebrated the 39th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. The program was organized in the Hall 2A, combined with an online platform and live streamed on the University's Youtube channel.
Attendees of the ceremony included Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; the teachers who are members of the Founding Council, University Council, Presidential Board and heads of units under TDTU. Lecturers, staff and students attended the ceremony online.
Many organizations and businesses visited and sent flowers to congratulate all lecturers of the University. Due to the pandemic situation, many organizations have arranged to attend the ceremony online instead of onsite.
At the ceremony, the university also showed a video to review the 24-year journey of establishment and development, and emphasized that the University would not have been successful without the dedication of many generations of lecturers. The university also honored lecturers and staff who have been with the university during the past 10, 15 and 20 years.
Although TDTU's students and alumni could not attend the ceremony onsite to express their gratitude to their lecturers, they still fully expressed their profound feelings for their lecturers. By sending many short videos, musical performances and emotional speeches, the students had made the atmosphere of the ceremony more emotional and meaningful.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang congratulated all lecturers and staff of the University. He acknowledged the achievements that TDTU has had in the past 24 years and wished that the leaders, lecturers and students would continue to make Ton Duc Thang University better. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will keep creating the best conditions for the university to develop sustainably under the autonomy mechanism.
