Announcement regarding registration for retaking the English Placement Test for students studying English foundation courses in Semester 1/2024-2025

1. General information about the exam:

Candidates: students studying English foundation courses in need.

Exam format: In-person exam at the University.

Language and test content: according to the test on the English Proficiency Assessment System under the international standards of Ton Duc Thang University.

Expected exam date: December 1, 2024.

Registration period: from October 28 to November 10, 2024.

Fee payment period: November 12-14, 2024.

Exam fee: 300,000 VND per candidate.

2. Instructions for registration:

Step 1. Submit a registration form to retake the English Placement Test by logging in to the Student Portal, select the Online Form Submission section, select the form titled “Registration for English Proficiency Test”.

Step 2. Pay the exam fee according to the instructions from the Department for Finance.

Step 3. View the official exam schedule / list of candidates on the Student Portal, under the Announcement section or View Exam Schedule section.

After receiving the English Placement Test results, students should complete the following tasks:

If the current course in Semester 1/2024-2025 is exempted due to the English Placement Test results, students can submit an application to withdraw that course without a tuition refund at the Office of Student Services within 5 days from the date of announcing the English Placement Test results.

The following case only applies to the students enrolled in 2024 and those of the High-Quality Program enrolled in 2023: if it is exempted to an English level earlier than the standard roadmap (as of Semester 1/2024-2025) based on the English Placement Test results, and the official class placement result in Semester 2/2024-2025 has not been published, students can submit an application for canceling the current English course at the Office of Student Services within 5 days from the date of announcing the English Placement Test results.

After 5 days from the date of announcing the English Placement Test results, if students do not withdraw/cancel the course as noted above, the class placement and final exam schedule will be carried out in accordance with the regulations on English learning./.
