A delegation from Cambridge University Press and Assessment visited and worked with Cambridge English Authorized Exam Center VN215

On August 21, 2024, a delegation from Cambridge University Press and Assessment, led by Mr. Andrew Page as the head of the delegation, visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University, which is recognized as Cambridge English Authorized Exam Center VN215.

The delegation was warmly welcomed and engaged in discussions with Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tuan, M.A. (Vice Director) of Creative language Center at Ton Duc Thang University.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed key issues such as the growth in the number of exams and candidates this year. They also explored the impacts of the Cambridge English qualifications on candidates, noting that these exams not only motivate students to enhance their language skills but also foster a spirit of self-study, improving their professional qualifications and employment opportunities. Additionally, proposals and recommendations were made to further enhance the cooperation between the two sides.

Cambridge English certificates are awarded by the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom to assess and recognize learners' English language proficiency. These certificates are widely recognized worldwide, especially in countries where English is the primary or commonly used language. They reflect learners' English proficiency according to international standards, providing them with opportunities to study, work, and settle in English-speaking countries.

According to Decision 01/QD-BGDDT dated January 2, 2024, by the Ministry of Education and Training, Ton Duc Thang University - VN215 has been authorized as a Cambridge English Exam Center to organize Cambridge English Exams (digital version) for all TDTU students and external candidates. The Cambridge English Exams include:

- Preliminary English Test (PET)

- First Certificate in English (FCE)

- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)

- Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
