On November 12, 2021, Ton Duc Thang University held the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2021-2022. At the event, TDTU honoured to welcome leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and partner localities, leaders of a number of universities and partner businesses, the Founding Council, the University Council for the term 2021-2026, the Presidential Board and leaders of affiliated units, along with lecturers and 9,000 students representing 25,000 students attending online.

The QS ranking system has announced the results of the QS Asia University Rankings 2022 with the participation of 687 higher education institutions across the continent.

Eleven Vietnamese universities have been listed in the Ranking, of which the highest ranking in Vietnam went to Ton Duc Thang University at 142^nd place, and its entry ranking improved by 21 places compared to 2021.

THE (Times Higher Education) is one of the three most influential university ranking organizations in the world, alongside two other ranking systems, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) and ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities). In addition to the World University Rankings, THE also develops regional-specific rankings such as the Asia University Rankings, the Asia University Rankings, the Young University Rankings, the Latin America University Rankings, etc.

On the morning of October 31, 2021, Creative Language Center (CLC) of Ton Duc Thang University organized the annual teachers’ meeting for Semester 1 of the Academic Year 2021-2022. This is an activity to inform all lecturers of the previous semester’s results and share updated information regarding the new semester.

On the morning of October 9, 2021, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized an online meeting between the University's leaders and students of Intake 25. Participants included Assoc. Dr. Vuong Duc Hoang Quan - Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Vice Chairman of the Science and Training Council, leaders of 16 faculties and functional units, and more than 5,000 new students of intake 25.
